Top Shoe Trends you can wear now
This coming spring update your shoe collection with the top shoe trends of 2017. There are a lot of exciting types of shoes to wear this season. Although you may not be able to wear those high fashion show shoes. You should look at it as inspiration only. However not many average women can wear those shoes in real life, you can bring the trends into your wardrobe in bits and pieces.
You take a bit of what is presented, then find a shoe that has one feature. For instance, when looking at embellished flat sandals, you may want to go a bit less trendy and stick to shoes with same color family flowers. That way its a nod to the crazy high fashion designers without looking like you came out of Alice in Wonderland movie.
For us mature women, we still want to keep up with the top shoe trends. You can achieve this look not only on a budget but also appearing more sophisticated. You should decide which styles you want to incorporate into your collection and you definitely do not have to add all of them. This is meant for inspiration and is my opinion.
Find styles that can last a few years. If you go too wild, you may only be able to wear them for one season. For me, I can’t afford to replace a shoe collection every season. I’m guessing you can’t either. Its not about how trendy you can be. Be daring, yet classy.
There are 5 top shoe trends on this page because i didn’t want to overwhelm anyone with a long list. This list has both masculine and feminine shoe styles for inspiration. Some of the styles have been around for awhile. That doesn’t mean you should go new, it means you may already have some of these style in your closet. Use what you have and add one or two styles to mix it up.
I’m going to cover everything from date night to work appropriate shoes.
- Pointed loafers
I am really loving pointed loafers. Especially the slide ins. I have had a robbins egg blue one for about 4 years. When i first got them and started wearing them the pointed loafers were not in yet. I didn’t wear them very often at that time. Along the way i started bringing them out more and more as they got more popular.
This is a great option for work. As the weather get nicer, opt for the pointy slides.

- Platform Sandals
This style has been around for a few years as the top shoe trends. It reminds me of Japan. I had one of these a few years back and had to get rid of it because I couldn’t walk in them very good. Try picking one where the balance is just right or you could break your ankle. By making sure they have enough material to hold your foot in you avoid any embarrassing accidents.

- Kitten Heels
Now this style i love as I get older. Every year I am going lower and lower. Not that I don’t like heel, i love heels, but its getting harder to walk in spike heels. The is also a great option for the office.

- Embellished Sandals
Embellishments are all over the runway. From flats to high heels. Keep in mind, if you are not daring, go with monochromatic colors. But, if you want to play it up make your clothes monochromatic so your shoes become the main event.
